WalkSafer app for iPhone and iPad

This application has as objective to enhance personal safety of persons walking or jogging. If a person
feels threatened by an approaching stranger, the WalkSafer app is used to take a photo and email
it automatically to a trusted friend, spouse, or parent.

Informing a potential attacker that a picture
has been sent thus making his/her identity known may deter attack. The photo size is reduced for fast
transmission but a full sized copy is saved on the phone.

Entering the photo’s destination email address is simple:
Go to Settings
WalkSafer
Enter email address
The program is ready for use.

To use app:
Touch WalkSafer icon
Swipe screen upwards
Aim camera and touch screen to take/send photo
